2023 EUI Transnational Governance Institute (EUI/STG) African Young Leaders Program


The Young African Leaders Program (YALP) at the EUI School of Transnational Governance (STG) offers a unique opportunity for aspiring African leaders to further develop their policy work and professional skills amidst international experts and global leaders. In fall 2023, mid-career policy professionals from Africa will have the opportunity to fine-tune their global leadership skills on a three-month fully funded training program in Florence, Italy.

The basic grant is EUR 2,500 per month.
Successful applicants who receive other grants or salaries must disclose this to the EUI. The amount of the subsidy will be fixed at a lower rate according to the amount of additional income (after presenting relevant supporting documents).
If applicable, family allowances are added to the basic grant.

qualified: The EUI School of Transnational Governance (EUI/STG) Young African Leaders Program is open to mid-career, high potential policymakers, diplomats and professionals from Africa working in national and local authorities, regional, continental, international organizations and development partners, African Civil society organizations, academia, the media and the private sector. More precisely, the program is open to nationals of African countries, young female and male professionals, mid-career and executives under the age of 45 residing in Africa.
