Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, candidates must meet all criteria:

  • Both Canadian and international applicants are eligible.
  • Applicants should also apply for funding from relevant provincial and national or international agencies.   • Scholars must be eligible for at least 24 months of scholarship support. This means that at the master’s level only new students will be considered. And at PhD level, only those who have spent less than two years in the program by 1 May of the award year will be considered.

However, the language proficiency test may be waived if the applicant has completed a degree from an accredited university where English is the medium of instruction in a country where English is the national language.
