Oxford University Scholarships: The University of Oxford (OX) is a diverse place, inviting students from more than 150 countries and territories each year. International students currently make up approximately 30% of the student body at Oxford.

In addition to entry-based Oxford scholarships, international students are also eligible for intra-course scholarships awarded by their respective departments. PhD and research masters students receive a thesis supervisor stipend.

International students must bear in mind that the benefits, eligibility criteria and application process of several Oxford University scholarships vary by level of study.

To be eligible for an Oxford University College Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Applicants must be international students.

2. Applicants must have applied or are applying to Oxford University.

3. Applicants must be proficient in English, Spanish, French and Chinese.

4. Applicants should check and meet the University’s admission requirements on the Admission Requirements page.

5. Scholarship awards and deadlines will vary by department, faculty and faculty.

Oxford University Bachelor Scholarship Application Process

The Oxford Undergraduate Scholarship requires applicants to complete a separate application form.Students must ensure that their scholarship application includes the following details

The application deadline for all undergraduate scholarships at the University of Oxford is March 12. Scholarship applications can be submitted by email or by post.

If you choose email, please send it to student.funding@admin.ox.ac.uk. The subject of the email should be “Application for Undergraduate Scholarship”.

Recipients of Oxford University Undergraduate Scholarships are required to write an annual report on their academic and social activities and achievements at Oxford.

Scholarships for Masters and PhD programs at the University of Oxford

Master’s and Doctoral Programs Work with foundations, donors or corporate entities to offer Oxford scholarships to students. The University contributes 40% of the funding for these scholarships, while 60% is contributed by partner organizations.

Prospective applicants for Oxford Masters and PhD program scholarships must be Academic meritorious service. This is a common eligibility requirement for all scholarships.

Applicants’ academic achievement is judged on the basis of their performance in completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees. While the University has not established any specific scholarship thresholds, you do have minimum academic requirements for entry purposes – a first or second class degree.

  • 75% or more of a first-class undergraduate honors degree in a 4-year degree program.
  • 65% or higher in a 4-year degree program with a second-class undergraduate honors degree.

Students who exceed these academic requirements will be prioritized for scholarships, at least entrance scholarships.
